Daras Education Development Foundation was established with the sole purpose of offering school bursaries to students who cannot afford to pay from all levels - nursery, primary, secondary, tertiary institutions and unversities. In addition to offering school bursaries, we offer programmes that are carried out in various countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Eritrea, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and other countries.

We want to eradicate the education gap by providing scholarships to students
We also bail out our registered parents by providing fees loans with no interest.
We give out personal loans to parents as a benefit of being members of Daras.
We offer free transport of our students to and fro from school.

We employ a range of programs to reach perspective students in Uganda and the neighboring countries.
We engage in various farming activities conducting farmer training allover Uganda. These networks will be used to contact students for the farmers we deal with.
Uganda is highily religious thus targeting religious structures most especially churches and mosques are therefore a best way of reaching more than 97% of our population.
We organize these seminars in major towns during which, prerequisites and application procedures are discussed, answering questions regarding the admission process.
We already work with a number of schools at all levels. Therefore, we support students at different levels of education who tend to seek for our bursaries from various regions.
We run these campaigns using social media and the press. This helps us to reach a big and wide area of these regions and have been able to engage most of the communities.
